FULL SET SALE (and then some)

    Calibre 1861

Heres a watch we've been gunning to "Commision Sell" (yea we do that look us up "FullyWound")

Perhaps no other modern (kinda) watch has quite encapsulated the spirit of the original NASA and pre-moon Speedmasters as much as the Alaska Project Limited edition a modern Icon of Speedmaster historical importance. No other watch has captured the hearts minds (oh and wrists) of Omega collectors and enthusiasts as much as this, Totally diferent and kinda the same...

The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Alaska Project reference 311. was the limited edition Speedmaster watch model that Omega introduced at Baselworld 2008. It happens to have one of the most interesting "limited-edition stories" among the modern limited-edition Omega Speedmaster Moonwatches,

In 1970, Omega developed a Speedmaster that was a bit different from the then current Moonwatch models. They called it the Alaska project (it had to withstand extreme temperatures, especially those on the dark side of the Moon) and therefore Omega came up with the solution of an external casing made of red-anodised aluminium. The project title Alaska was from then on used for every assignment they did for NASA, like this 1978 Alaska III project watch that was re-certified for the Space Shuttle missions.

The dial was white so it wouldn't absorb heat, and the red anodized aluminum case protects the watch in a temperature range from -148F to +260F.  NASA never purchased these watches and the project was called to a stop.

Classic Speedmaster Case 43mm in diameter including almost fully integrated crown 48mm lug tip to lug tip and 20mm lug spacing, Case is in ALL original condition Upolished and ualtered, Case back is the Iconc screw in speedmaster "Flight-Qualiofied by NASA..."  and bears the hippocampus logo centrallyas well as the watches Unique series number & "Alaska Project"

The Red anodized aluminium case is 58mm in diameter and we've still to see any collector quite brave (or maybe mad) enough to wear one "On the go" but wed like to! Send us an Instagram!

Another feature that remains largely unchanged since the first Speedmaster in space (and before) is the Tachymetre bezel

MAtte black with crisp silver print 60 - 500 scale.

It is the white radial dial that attracts most Speedmaster fans and collectors.

The overall design of the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Alaska Project dial was not only meant to stand up to things like radiation and light better but was also supposed to improve the legibility of the Speedmaster dial. It was apparently found that white-dialed sport watches fare better in both bright and dim lighting conditions, and the "space landing pod"-style chronograph subdial hands were intended to help make reading the subdial registers faster.

This watch however in my humble opinion, really comes to life at night or otherwise low-level lighting. I love those hour indexes I just wish we could see them a little more often! but hey that's just me what do i know...

ALL OF THEM only the smaller of the two Velcro straps is used but usable if your a stickler for "All new" (well firstly you should have preordered one in 2009) but the straps are still available on ebay (at a premium) or omega direct we can order you ine at

cost price =) the secondary longer starp is UNOPENED

Then, of course, the locking Speedmaster bracelet Full length used but BARELY

And from us, my personal choice the Black Kevlar we've Watch strap just because it looks cool and not everyone is hot on bracelets!

If you want any one of these fitting or adjusting to size prior sale let us know would you!
